Tears Of Indra

ACTIVITY OF 4 NOVEMBER 2011

We returned to Wat Rangsit again today. Nothing remarkable happened. Pia, Prakai and Skipper Anucha went first to the Big C in order to buy supplies. I waited Prung’s boat arriving again at Thai time around 10.00 Hr. We loaded the boat in the apartment hall partly with water from our Rayong stock and headed off to the RV at the harbor of Big C.

At the Big C we loaded the supplies and together with the zodiac we went to the railway near Wat Rangsit. The same scenario as yesterday occurred. Everybody worked together to load the raft in the still heavy current, crashing in southern direction over the railway tracks and creating a small Niagara.

We took the raft (sometimes it was the raft who took us) to the stairs of the vihara. The water was even deeper than yesterday. Telephone and camera were submerged, but an old fox knows the tricks – waterproof electronics. The raft was unloaded and part of the supplies distributed under the families present, the other part kept in stock. We visited the monks in their area and provided them also with supplies. Then we said farewell to the flood refugees at Wat Rangsit, passed by the “wild” man helping him out and returned home with the zodiac.
